THE DANGEROUS STATE OF KENYAN ROADS.
Road management authorities should provide safety measures for pedestrians especially children along the Eastern Bypass among other new roads. Most road fatalities are pedestrians. How are roads declared ready for use without side walks, footbridges, signage, zebra/pedestrian crossing, bus stops etcetera?
NEMA requires every development project to conduct an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment complete with proposed mitigations for the negative impacts. It is surprising that in certain areas, roads have provision for motor cycles, pedestrians and vehicles but, the same are missing in others. Why?
