It is, it was and it must remain a beautiful world.
On 8th October 2021, the UN Human Rights Council adopted Resolution 48/13 recognizing that “a clean, healthy and sustainable environment is a human right .” In July 2022, the UN General Assembly declared that “access to a clean, healthy environment is a universal human right.” The right to a clean, healthy, safe and secure environment is enshrined in Article 42 of the Kenya Constitution, for the good of present and future generations. At Children’s Environmental Rescue we also believe in Article 12 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child which gives children “the right to be listened to and taken seriously in all matters affecting them”.
Today they are saying “ HATUTAKI!!!!!” to environmental anarchy all over this land. In many ways, society is denying them their right to a clean, healthy, safe and secure environment.
