Glorious Morning Glory Flowers after a rainy night.

It is, it was, and it must remain a beautiful world. The weatherman says to expect very heavy rain all over East Africa. This for us is good news as it portends all manner bounty including food and cash crops, fruits and even animal fodder and pasture. But we also feel anxious when we recall recent rainy seasons when we experienced serious flooding sometimes with deadly consequences. In urban areas, this is often made worse by mismanaged waste. Sadly we seem to have normalized garbage into a normal part of our environment. We can preempt flooding by clearing our garbage clogged drainage systems including rivers, gutters and drainage systems. Responsible Environmental Behaviour (REB) is a CER clarion call. We are all obliged by Article 69 of Kenya's Constitution to play our role in achieving clean and healthy environment that is our right as per Article 42. Let us all do our best to enjoy the best of this gift from God. Our environment. It starts with me. And you.
